Requirements

  • University or Bachelor's degree (preferred but not mandatory)
  • 3-5 years out of an Industry Graduate role with sales or pre-sales experience
  • Good understanding of data centre Information Technology
  • Willingness to learn the industry and market segment in which key accounts are situated, and integrate this knowledge into consultative selling
  • Willingness to learn program/project management methods and processes to define, plan, cost, resource, track, and ensure successful pursuit
  • Solid understanding of HPE's services value proposition and how customers make use of hybrid cloud capabilities
  • Knowledge of marketing campaigns to align initiatives with account planning activities

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating and driving their sales pipeline or working in a pre-sales capacity of pipeline driven by the Account Managers
  • Maintains knowledge of competitors in account to strategically position the company's products and services better
  • Provide support to Account Managers and provide input regarding business development and solution expertise
  • Establish a professional, working, and consultative relationship with the client, by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the client within their industry
  • May invest time working with and leveraging external partners to deliver sale
  • Focus on a small portfolio of existing customers for contract renewals and upsell
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and provide specialist expertise within the sales team
  • Drive proactive campaigns to build the pipeline, use specialized knowledge and skills to prospect, qualify, negotiate, and close opportunities
  • Sell hybrid cloud offerings including HPE GreenLake as-a-service solutions, Managed Services, and Advisory and Professional Services to end-user customers (and/or partners) in an assigned geographic territory or industry, focusing on new business or up-selling within an account
  • Develop consultative customer proposals, tailoring strategy and solutions to meet the needs of the customer
  • Understand the customer’s business challenges/objectives to provide value-added services and solutions
