Requirements

  • Journey level with a minimum of 5–10 years related experience
  • Operation and repair of centrifugal chillers up to 500 tons, reciprocating chillers, modular systems, gas-fired boilers, DX units, exhaust fans, cooling towers, water pumps, air compressors, pneumatic controls
  • Knowledge of water treatment methods (pH control, testing and adjusting chemical balances)
  • Data/spreadsheet tracking of equipment & parts; familiarity with CMMS (computer maintenance management systems) desired
  • Clean room and laboratory environment HVAC requirements desired
  • Knowledge of industrial safety practices desired
  • Desire to learn new skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • High School Diploma
  • HVAC certification, water treatment, and/or other related certifications or training
  • Completion of a formalized HVAC apprenticeship program preferred
  • Physical ability to ascend/descend ladders & stairs, bend, squat, stoop, twist, carry, lift up to 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, and perform other essential motor skills
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Section 608 certification as required by (40 CFR part 82, subpart F), under the EPA Clean Air Act
  • U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) to meet Export Control compliance

Responsibilities

  • Work under HVAC A lead site technician(s)
  • Maintain, repair, calibrate, troubleshoot HVAC systems including pumps, motors, valves, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, exhaust fans, air compressors, ducting, cold/hot coils, pneumatic actuated TCV’s
  • Test and recharge refrigeration systems
  • Operate and maintain process water treatment in HVAC related piping
