Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines required
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA or Master’s in Engineering/Operations) preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, including significant leadership roles overseeing global or regional operations
  • Proven track record of managing both in-house and outsourced manufacturing environments, preferably in a global capacity
  • Extensive experience with factory operations, tooling, and manufacturing engineering
  • Strong expertise in Design for Manufacturing (DfM) and working knowledge of product development cycles
  • Hands-on experience with tools and techniques for Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Financial acumen with demonstrated ability to manage budgets and deliver cost savings without compromising quality

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the global manufacturing strategy to support business growth, operational excellence, and cost optimization
  • Align and integrate manufacturing goals with broader operational and organizational objectives
  • Lead operational planning for both in-house manufacturing facilities and outsourced partners across all regions
  • Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products from all manufacturing sites while meeting financial and operational targets
  • Oversee all aspects of in-house and outsourced manufacturing operations, including production planning, process optimization, workforce planning, and execution
  • Act as the primary point of accountability for manufacturing delivery, quality, and cost across all sites globally
  • Drive a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement to enhance productivity, minimize waste, and increase efficiency through Lean Manufacturing and similar methodologies
  • Develop and monitor KPIs for delivery performance, quality, cost, and operational efficiency
  • Implement and sustain world-class quality systems to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer standards
  • Partner with engineering, product design, supply chain, and other departments to ensure Design for Manufacturing (DfM) principles are embedded early in product development
  • Collaborate with product development teams to ensure alignment between design intent and manufacturing capabilities
  • Ensure strong communications with sourcing, supply chain, and logistics to mitigate risks and manage partnerships with outsourced manufacturing providers
  • Champion sustainability initiatives in manufacturing processes to minimize energy consumption, reduce waste, and manage carbon emissions
  • Identify opportunities to improve the environmental footprint of operations while meeting company-wide sustainability goals
