Candidates should possess at least two years of datacenter technician and/or technical program manager experience, along with two years of experience in enterprise server solutions, enterprise storage solutions, rack-level power design/management, or complex network cabling design, and a basic understanding of AC/DC power calculations. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS), or Computer Science (CS) or a related field is required, and experience leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving is preferred.
As a Hardware Standards Engineer, the individual will develop server, storage, and full-rack hardware standards governing deployments to ServiceNow datacenters worldwide, build and maintain server, storage, cloud service provider, and rack SKU documentation, support relationships with reseller/integrators, suppliers, and cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, and others), ensure continuity of supply by identifying and validating alternates for incumbent hardware solutions, and work directly with hardware manufacturers to evaluate new technologies and products for use in the global infrastructure.
