Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree (or equivalent as per 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A)) and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with minimum of 5 years relevant experience
  • Broad management knowledge and experience to lead project teams in one department
  • Mastery level knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with broad understanding of other areas within the job function

Responsibilities

  • Plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma)
  • Diagrams and evaluates existing processes
  • Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams
  • Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities
  • Collects data to identify root cause of problems
  • Measures performance against process requirements
  • Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls
  • Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality
  • Delivers presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control
  • Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes
  • Communicates team progress
  • Performs cost and benefit analyses
  • Manages one or more medium-scale, established programs with generally-defined program plans and delivery methodologies
  • Is accountable for overall program process, performance, and customer satisfaction
  • Participates in establishing program objectives, timelines, milestones, and budgets
  • Develops new policies and procedures that affect program management
  • Typically has budget accountability for one or more programs
  • Recommends program decisions to higher level management
  • Communicates and leads meetings with internal and external customers and vendors, conducts briefings to higher level management team
  • Influences across functions and businesses while balancing divergent objectives to gain cooperation on program objectives and execution plans
  • Leads, directs and reviews the work of a team of managers, experienced professionals and/or vendors who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments
