Requirements

  • Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Biologics
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent work experience in Engineering or Bio-Medical Engineering
  • 7+ years of related technical or application experience
  • Previous clinical diagnostics experience is required
  • Immunology and Clinical Chemistry knowledge and experience is desired
  • Experience with instrument software loading and interaction with automated instrumentation is desired
  • Live in the North Chicago IL area
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% (may require some global travel)

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system
  • Lead and develop technical product support, application support, and training personnel per policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain product operations service manuals, with additional support for technical service and support documentation
  • Participate weekly with software development and other cross-functional teams regarding new software features and product maintenance updates
  • Participate weekly with the document publication team and international language translation services for updates and changes to the operations manual
  • Represent the country and area service teams regarding quality system and service actions for products supported, including customer satisfaction metrics and input
  • Translate customer needs into product and process requirements; review process and product designs to ensure customer satisfaction and establish programs to address issues and prevent defects
  • Balance workload for technical and application support; employee and customer training with internal projects and product improvements
  • Balance on-market resource needs with new product development; balance project prioritization with support functions
  • Create a climate of high performance, trust, and respect within the organization
  • Build effective relationships internally and externally by productive exchange of information with employees, peers, global service leaders, internal leaders, and customers
  • Communicate effectively with peers and leaders from different countries and cultures on a daily basis; share best practices and processes globally to impact service effectiveness
  • Manage concurrent projects and meet timelines
