Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field, along with at least 8 years of experience in global customs and logistics management. A deep knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures is required, as well as experience with customs compliance software and logistics management systems. Strong understanding of Incoterms and international shipping documentation is essential, along with excellent project management and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities are necessary, and fluency in English is required, with additional languages being a plus.
The Global Customs and Logistics Manager will develop and implement global customs and logistics strategies aligned with company objectives. They will manage relationships with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and logistics partners worldwide, oversee import/export documentation, licenses, and customs declarations, and ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements. The role includes optimizing shipping routes and logistics costs across global supply chains, leading and developing a team of customs and logistics professionals, monitoring and analyzing logistics KPIs, managing customs audits, and coordinating responses to inquiries from regulatory authorities. Additionally, they will develop and maintain SOPs for global customs and logistics operations and negotiate and manage contracts with logistics service providers.
