Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering (Master’s degree preferred)
Minimum 8 years of experience in Automotive manufacturing engineering and/or EOL testing
Project management skills and exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
Knowledge of multiple programming languages: Visual Studio (Visual Basic), C, C++, C#, Python, etc
Knowledge of microcontroller programming and flashing
Knowledge of computer network architectures
Knowledge of Automotive Protocols: SAE SENT J2716, SAE CAN J1939, SAE LIN J2602
Knowledge of Industrial Protocols: RS232, RS485, GPIB, TCP/IP
Knowledge of test equipment (e.g., Multi-meter)
Responsibilities
Provide strategic and technological leadership in EOL testing and BWPCS
Develop advanced EOL test technologies and comprehensive test solutions
Provide training and standards, lead EOL Test Councils, promote best practices, share lessons learned, and foster continuous learning among manufacturing engineers
Establish global ESD standards and support electronics manufacturing requirements for facilities
Collaborate with product development teams to create test and flash specifications for electronic products
Provide leadership, direction, development, and operational oversight to EOL Test standards and process acceptance methods for flawless equipment launches
Unify global Manufacturing Test Strategies
Maintain EOL Test data collection and dashboard using BWPCS, and provide expertise to improve FTT and Scrap rates for plant EOL Testers
Engage early with R&D to develop robust test specifications ensuring ease of launch
Develop procedures to support CFT in creating robust, cost-efficient solutions for industrializing new test equipment for eProducts
Drive down costs and investments while improving quality through standardization
Develop new manufacturing solutions to support cybersecurity for products and equipment
Mentor EOL Test Councils, provide facilitation resources, ensure best practices are shared and implemented, and lessons learned are mitigated
Participate in the Acquisition Standards Team to update global equipment specifications, revise, and approve SOWs
Develop and maintain ME skill enhancement for ESD requirements and electrical tests
Work with plants to resolve chronic manufacturing and quality issues related to test equipment
Support problem-solving in plants for electronic component issues and develop systems for electrical sorting of products
Benchmark internally (BW) and externally to develop best test practices and techniques
Lead a team of EOL Test technicians and BWPCS software developers in an agile environment to cultivate innovation
Define and maintain team KPIs and publish results periodically
Train and coach subordinate staff, estimate personnel needs, assign work, meet completion dates, and ensure consistent application of organizational policies
Comply with organizational rules, Code of Ethics, environmental, energy efficiency, health, safety, quality, and productivity standards
Perform other tasks as needed for service requirements
