Requirements

  • Seasoned leader with expertise in artificial intelligence (AI), clinical data analysis, data engineering, and data science
  • Ability to build and develop a team of scientists focused on AI for heart failure diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment
  • Experience guiding teams in developing machine learning (ML) and AI algorithms to understand heart failure disease progression
  • Capability to establish computational infrastructure for advanced data science algorithms
  • Knowledge of data governance, compliance with statutes, regulations, and professional standards
  • Strong collaboration skills with internal stakeholders (R&D, Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Reimbursement) and external stakeholders (researchers, scientists, clinician KOLs, academic institutions, healthcare providers)
  • External reputation as a clinical insights expert, with experience presenting at industry meetings, serving on panels, and authoring/reviewing peer-reviewed publications

Responsibilities

  • Develop global innovation strategy and roadmap for Heart Failure Division (HFD) products based on data and insights
  • Establish execution roadmap, including budget and resources, working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop evidence generation and dissemination strategy to support global regulatory approval, scientific acceptance, and reimbursement for insights-driven innovation
  • Build and lead a team of experts in clinical data analysis, data engineering, and data science
  • Establish necessary computational infrastructure to support advanced data science algorithms
  • Collaborate with IT and privacy to ensure project compliance with applicable statutes, regulations, and professional standards
  • Partner with academic institutions, healthcare providers, and other external entities to access additional data sources and research opportunities
  • Drive patient-centric innovation using data and insights to simplify patient management, reduce HCP workload, improve patient experience, and generate clinical evidence across HFD franchises
