Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or related majors
  • 3 years of experience in Buying-Procurement
  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
  • Good oral and written communication skills in Mandarin and English
  • Good problem-solving, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Team player with proactive attitude, flexible to meet tight deadlines, and able to perform well under pressure
  • Available to travel up to 50% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Placing and following up on Purchase Orders (POs); contributing to projects as a team member or leading small projects
  • Managing relationships with suppliers for PO execution, including handling problems, scheduling changes, updating ERP, and communicating with stakeholders
  • Advising functional managers regarding projects, processes, and procedures in the own field
  • Detecting and signaling flaws in approaches, methods, procedures, and processes, and suggesting improvements
  • Managing cost targets and identifying opportunities for reductions, including pricing and inventory management
  • Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about data gathering and analysis
  • Applying sourcing policy and interfacing between suppliers and entity with respect to specifications and budgets
  • Understanding concepts, methods, procedures, and approaches related to the buying process for a given set of goods
