Requirements

Candidates must have US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance, with a willingness to undergo a CI Poly. A 4-year degree in GIS or engineering science, or equivalent demonstrated experience, is required, along with 4+ years of technical experience in deploying and maintaining GIS capabilities, including at least 1 year with the Esri software stack. Familiarity with ICD 503 and DoD cybersecurity standards like DISA STIGs, RMF, and ACAS is necessary, as is experience managing SSL certificates, firewalls, and system security settings. Proficiency in scripting and optimization, along with strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills, is also required. Esri or DoD 8570 certifications are considered additional desirable skills.

Responsibilities

The GIS/ArcOS Systems Administrator will install, configure, and manage ArcGIS Enterprise and other GIS components within a classified IT environment, ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies and accreditation standards. Responsibilities include administering various GIS tools in disconnected environments, performing system hardening, patch management, and vulnerability mitigation, and collaborating with developers and analysts to deploy secure web services and applications. The role also involves monitoring system performance, generating health reports, maintaining documentation for accreditation and audits, and supporting geospatial DevSecOps and infrastructure-as-code initiatives.
