Requirements

Education beyond high school including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses, or equivalent experience
3+ years general knowledge of production techniques, procedures, product yields and quality, and USDA and OSHA regulations
Processing management experience preferred
Basic computer skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to travel as required
Supervisory experience managing a group of personnel performing identical and related tasks

Responsibilities

Provide supervisors with information, materials, and training to produce the highest quality product possible
Oversee records for attendance, payroll, production, safety, ergonomics, and TQM
Ensure compliance with USDA, Federal, and State Regulations; work closely with USDA to maintain standards
Promote new ideas and encourage development from Team Members
Oversee daily operations, analyze non-routine problems, and offer solutions to the Plant Manager
Ensure a smooth start-up of plant operations and maintain a seamless transition from farm to plant by partnering with grow-out management
Maintain entire operation of the assigned area, including safety, production yields, quality, Team Member relations, turnover and absenteeism, discipline, payroll, staffing, and line speeds
Ensure the supply of wholesome products for production
