Requirements

  • High school diploma, Industrial maintenance card or journeyman’s license preferred
  • 1+ years industrial maintenance experience required, must have experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical theory
  • Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, prints of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools and measuring equipment
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills including low and high voltage up to 480 volts
  • Ability to work in a team environment and effectively with management, operations/production personnel, and contractors
  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently
  • Multi-tasking ability in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Comfortable operating at high elevations if needed
  • Ability to lift or move 75 pounds
  • Ability to withstand changing environments
  • Ability to operate an aerial lift and sit-down forklift
  • Basic computer skills required, including ability to learn and utilize CMMS for data entry, work orders, and documentation
  • Ability to communicate effectively and basic math skills
  • Ability to work variable shifts, weekends, holidays; 3rd shift 5:00PM – 5:00AM on rotating flex schedule
  • Approximately one to two weeks travel per year for technical and safety training

Responsibilities

  • Perform and complete preventative maintenance and repairs of plant production equipment, including mechanical repairs (shaft seal replacements, motor replacement and alignments, rebuilds of pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders, valves, pumps), bearing, sprockets, conveyor systems maintenance, vacuum pump and packaging machines, box makers and taper machines
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting including low and high voltage up to 480 volts
  • Oil removal and system maintenance on hydraulic and vacuum equipment
  • Timely repair of plant equipment/systems with precision maintenance techniques to meet production rates and maintenance downtime goals
  • Data entry daily into CMMS system including preventative maintenance records and inspection generated work orders
  • Maintain a safe work environment, including all safety protocols and company policies
  • Participate in in-house and external training programs and skill development in maintenance areas
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
  • Interpret and understand procedure manuals
