Sonoco mission driven
Previous machine operating experience (preferred)
Prior Forklift Experience (preferred)
Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Working knowledge of products and their quality requirements
Reliable, with good initiative, committed, and quality focused
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. individually and team lift 50 lbs
Ability to effectively work with a team in a fast-paced environment
Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions
Ability to perform repetitious duties while standing for long periods on concrete floors
Tolerance for seasonal Wisconsin temperatures and heat from paper machines
Availability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (6am-6pm and 6pm-6am), 48-hour work week

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and adjust equipment to ensure production quality exceeds customer standards
Set up new jobs and operate various types of paper manufacturing machinery
Collaborate closely with other departments and teams
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
Perform all duties as designated by supervisor/manager
Perform all duties in support of Sonoco’s quality and safety policies
Assist other departments as needed
