Requirements

College graduate or enrolled in college and have completed freshman English and college math (Algebra II) (preferred)
At least one year of tutoring experience (preferred)
An eager, flexible learner and problem solver who feels comfortable taking initiative
A self-starter with exceptional work ethic and the ability to work well away from colleagues and management
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
An ability to quickly establish rapport and communicate well with scholars
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities

Provide tutoring services to students 1:1 or in small groups in classrooms
Collaborate with and provide support for GEAR UP staff
Work directly with students to provide various academic support services (i.e., tutoring, assisting with completing forms, assisting with workshops, etc.)
Assist in the planning, organizing, and implementing GEAR UP grant activities
Follow school and GEAR UP protocols and procedures
Perform related duties as assigned
