Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a production / industrial environment or equivalent experience
  • Ability and willingness to lift, pull or push 40+ pounds
  • Ability and willingness to work first, second or third shift and scheduled workdays, including weekends
  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend, squat, and push
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment

Responsibilities

  • Understanding and using mechanical and/or digital measurement tools such as a tape measure, micrometer, indicator and caliper etc
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Performing mathematical calculations commonly used in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiently and safely operate manufacturing equipment such as horizontal and vertical lathes, grinders, boring mills, key seaters, gear cutting equipment, etc. and /or tear down, diagnose, assemble, test, and repair products common to the industries where the business is active
  • Assembling/building crates to contain products
  • Loading products onto freight carrier vehicles
  • Assisting in the assembly cell pulling parts to maintain inventory levels
  • Locating material and expediting part shortages within the plant
  • Using small hand tools, operating material handling equipment including forklifts, cranes, hoists, skids, pallet handlers, and hand trucks or lift heavy objects by hand within applicable weight limitations
