Requirements

  • Ability to ensure work orders are completed and closed out properly
  • Capacity to communicate daily activities, manpower, accomplishments, and problem areas to management
  • Competence in ensuring craft personnel are adequately trained and identifying training needs
  • Active field presence to promote safe working environment and adherence to safe work practices
  • Participation in audits, near-miss/incident investigations, and safety committee
  • Coordination with planning and scheduling for job packages and material compliance
  • Involvement in maintenance cost control and challenging discretionary work
  • Collaborative work with foremen, planning, scheduling, and reliability teams
  • Maintenance of current, accurate, and complete records

Responsibilities

  • Arrange toolbox and lineup meetings, including relevant safety topics, and monitor compliance
  • Ensure crafts follow all PPE requirements by wearing and maintaining PPE correctly
  • Perform daily job visits to monitor craft performance, identify, and remove barriers
  • Walk down next day’s scheduled work to understand craft, material requirements, and job scope
  • Obtain updates from craft, inspections, area team, etc., and ensure all documentation is completed, signed, and turned in
  • Acknowledge time in WorkForce daily
  • Attend daily update meetings and communicate progress
  • Verify materials for next day’s work have been received
  • Work with area team on emergency or high-priority work requests and coordinate break-in work
  • Review next week’s schedule to identify and request required rental equipment
  • Monitor crafts’ CBTs and classroom training for attendance
  • Monitor PMs to ensure jobs are scheduled and completed before due dates
  • Lead maintenance work group for safe, effective, and environmentally compliant execution
  • Assist in setting schedules and appraise progress for productivity, quality, and adherence
  • Ensure team understands work scope and performance expectations
  • Promote RCM focus and assist with troubleshooting
  • Ensure work orders are satisfactorily completed and closed out
  • Communicate daily activities to management
  • Ensure assigned craft personnel are trained, identify training needs, and participate in training program development
  • Maintain visible field presence, participate in audits and investigations, follow up on safety issues
  • Coordinate with planning and scheduling for job packages and resolve delays
  • Participate in maintenance cost control and as a member of maintenance leadership team
  • Work collaboratively to develop repair strategies and maintain equipment reliability
  • Maintain current, accurate, and complete records for assigned area
