Requirements

Great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Ability to work independently while also being a good team player, with frequent cross-team collaboration
Ability to break down complex projects into incremental milestones that deliver customer value
Following best coding practices, code reviews, and open feedback
Having data and API design at the center of decisions
Ability to build iteratively new capabilities on top of legacy systems for eventual decommissioning
Experience working with Java, Spring framework, asynchronous message queues, and microservices architecture
Frontend experience with one of JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or other
Comfortable working on big challenges and taking ownership of the customer journey
Experience building and designing scalable and performing systems and APIs
Comfortable with SQL databases, optimisation, and transactions
A passion for international finance, foreign exchange, and payment systems

Responsibilities

Build a scalable and reusable platform for efficient operational processes
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation of the tooling platform
Standardise and enable Servicing Operational processes via common abstractions, out-of-the-box solutions, reliable data, and backoffice tools
Enable the quickest technical solutions for product teams building manual work tooling with a wide range of use cases for operational teams
Offer platform-level support for core and custom problems, including easy guides for implementation, troubleshooting, and analysis
Ensure service stability, security, scalability, and support for deprecation of legacy back-office tooling
Drive engineering solutions and suggest future challenges
Understand customers and the impact of the product on their lives
Contribute in a team environment where ideas are shared and openness is valued
Help scale-up and build a world-class money product impacting millions of customers
