Responsibilities

  • Coach, train, and develop FSQA personnel to drive higher performance
  • Ensure all FSQA personnel are properly trained in job functions and food safety/quality principles
  • Manage FSQA department staffing in alignment with budget
  • Support development of a talent pipeline for FSQA at the site level
  • Partner with other departments to improve food safety and quality
  • Lead the FSQA agenda at the site, challenging facility management to ensure regulatory compliance and wholesome products
  • Lead and support implementation of Home Chef and SQF standards, driving FSQA mindset and behavior
  • Sustain efficient food safety and quality management system in compliance with SQF, FDA, and Home Chef standards, including CAPA and training
  • Manage Food Safety and Quality incidents, supporting decisions on out-of-spec materials/products and implementing corrective/preventive actions
  • Accountable for site FSQA review/approval of new products, risk assessments, and change management
  • Serve as on-site point person for regulatory and third-party inspections; partner with plant management on corrective/preventive action plans
  • Lead FSQA Strategy Deployment at the site, delivering against key company metrics
  • Utilize internal/external quality data to identify and execute FSQA and plant improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with departments to implement initiatives improving customer experience (e.g., reduce errors)
  • Perform key metric, incident, and Continuous Improvement reviews for management transparency and coordinate site CAPA activities
  • Represent FSQA function on the Site Management Team
  • Follow facility GMPs and enforce policies throughout the facility
  • Support maintenance of SQF food safety system and quality programs
