About the Role

The Certified Trainer – Content Developer is a key member of the Altium Training group, responsible for delivering expert instruction on Altium's products. The primary goal is to enable customers to leverage our product features and capabilities effectively through best practices. Engaging technical training across various media formats is crucial for customer success and Altium's long-term growth.

We are seeking an individual passionate about technical training and content verification, who can deliver training with a high level of professionalism and demonstrate proficiency with Altium tools.

Exclusivity Agreement

This is an exclusive arrangement with Altium. This role is a freelance, self-employed position, and you will work as an independent contractor, not as an employee of Altium or Renesas. We encourage former employees and retirees with Altium product experience and a passion for training and content development to apply.

Important Note: External Certified Trainers may not use Altium's provided Training Content, course outlines, or other intellectual property to deliver training through their own business or independent practice. However, trainers are permitted to provide Altium software instruction using their own proprietary training materials and methodologies.

Deliverables

• Customer Training: Deliver training to Altium customers using Altium Training Content with a high level of professionalism.

  Courses to be delivered:

  • Altium Designer Instructor Led – Essentials
  • Altium Designer Instructor Led – Advanced
  • Altium Designer Instructor Led – Fundamentals Schematic
  • Altium Designer Instructor Led – Fundamentals PCB
  • Altium Designer Instructor Led – Harness Design
  • [New ILT Trainings as and when available]

• Training Content Development: Develop training content for Altium Designer and other Altium products.

Course Structure

• Essentials ILT: 3 days, 8 hours per day
• Advanced ILT: 3 days, 8 hours per day
• Fundamentals Schematic: 2 days, 8 hours per day
• Fundamentals PCB: 2 days, 8 hours per day
• Harness Design ILT: 1 day, 8 hours

Class Size: 12-15 students per class. Delivery Methods: Courses are delivered online and onsite at customer locations.

Responsibilities (Not Limited To)

• Instruct Altium Customers using Altium Training Content.
• Provide Online and Onsite Customer Training.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all Training Content provided to Altium Customers.
• Collaborate effectively with other Trainers and colleagues.
• Represent Altium professionally at all times.

Experience Requirements

Required:

• Fluency in Spoken and Written English.
• 2+ years of Experience with Altium products.
• 2+ years of System / Board design experience using Altium Designer.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Oration and Technical Writing) in English.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to effectively communicate project/task status on time.
• Must be driven, self-managed, organized, and motivated.

Preferred:

• 1+ years of previous experience as a Technical Trainer, delivering both Face-to-Face and live web-based Training.
