Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent experience or GED equivalent required, technical certifications a plus
Associates degree or equivalent experience in a technical field or above a plus
5+ years maintenance experience required
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Ability to provide a high level of fixing ability to repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Experience with energy management, conservation and sustainability projects a plus
Ability to work Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm, with overtime, weekends, emergency service, and out-of-town travel as required
Maintain 100% on-time completion of all required training

Responsibilities

Provide high level of maintenance support for all equipment, with heavy emphasis on forklifts and other material handling equipment across facilities
Complete preventive maintenance (PM) on time, monitor equipment to spot and address issues proactively
Drive innovation and continuous improvement, collaborate with facility operations, engineering, and quality groups
Support Sr. Field Service Technicians and Lead Maintenance Technicians with scheduling and timely PM completion
Take proactive role in safe work practices, lead by example, point out unsafe conditions, support C2S initiative
Monitor assigned manufacturing lines, connect with manufacturing to reduce downtime
Repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Review current PMs, verify parts in stock, complete PMs on time, build and rebuild machine assemblies
Communicate equipment issues and work status to supervision, manufacturing, and management per Stop and Fix guidelines
Initiate work orders using Proteus CMMS system, perform PM work, assign facility operations work for equipment reliability and efficiency, ensure accurate documentation
Note problems, breakdowns, or alarms in Proteus or downtime tracking, initiate work orders and documentation, review trends to eliminate recurring problems
Share knowledge, train less experienced technicians on equipment, safety, 6S, PMs
Handle robots in production modes, identify problems related to robots, machine output, and quality defects
Solicit help from Lead technicians and engineering when needed
Enforce Baxter Code of Conduct
Improve knowledge through additional training
Perform all other duties as assigned
