Requirements

  • 2 years of food service management experience
  • Genuine love and passion for food and customer service
  • Understanding of county, city, and company food safety and sanitation guidelines and policies

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage and supervise all department staff
  • Achieve merchandising, sales, and customer service objectives
  • Communicate directly with store management and department supervisors
  • Select, onboard, and coach new team members
  • Create and manage employee schedules
  • Interact with customers through greetings, product information, selling suggestions, and active sampling
  • Take customer orders and ensure timely and satisfactory completion
  • Ensure department personnel adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Order products and supplies to maintain adequate stock levels
  • Oversee preparation and serving/merchandising of deli/food service items (breakfast, lunch, dinner, fried foods, pizzas, salads, soups, sandwiches, roller grill items, beverages, and snacks)
  • Maintain deli/food service items according to department and company guidelines
  • Follow product recipes precisely
  • Rotate deli/food service items to ensure quality, safety, and minimize product shrink
  • Receive and audit merchandise, break down orders, and organize product storage
  • Periodically count product for inventory purposes
