Requirements

Candidates should possess an Advanced knowledge in fire protection, inspection, or code compliance, along with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related Science degree preferred. Professional licensure, certification, or membership is also preferred, and a technical understanding of nuclear plant processes, programs, and procedures is beneficial.

Responsibilities

The Fire Protection Program Owner is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Fire Protection Program in accordance with codes, standards, and regulations, providing technical support for projects and design changes to plant equipment. This role involves evaluating equipment failures, recommending corrective actions, assisting in design changes, evaluating and monitoring plant data, troubleshooting systems, performing predictive and root cause analysis, and planning preventive maintenance programs. Additionally, the Fire Protection Program Owner provides guidance and training to other employees and contractors, and communicates complex issues effectively through written and verbal communication.
