Job Description

The FP&A Team in Costa Rica is seeking a Team Lead to manage a local team and support Cost Management activities for the Commercial Finance organization. This is a high-visibility role with significant impact on senior leadership decisions. You will collaborate with finance teams to drive the success of cost optimization plans, in addition to fulfilling traditional FP&A deliverables. You will report to the Sr Manager - Cost.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a Costa Rica-based FP&A team of 3–6 individuals, overseeing daily deliverables, setting performance indicators, and ensuring alignment with cost planning, tracking, and reporting goals.
  • Cost Management: Manage and deliver accurate cost forecasts and analysis to support strategic decision-making, and contribute to ad hoc projects aimed at improving cost structures and operational efficiency.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate with senior finance leaders to align cost strategies with company goals, reporting directly to the Costa Rica FP&A Senior Manager.
  • FP&A Processes: Oversee key FP&A processes, with a strong focus on revenue, including month-end close, monthly forecasting, and partnering with the Commercial Finance Manager on annual budgeting and long-range planning. Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Foster collaboration with leaders in product, sales, strategic pricing, billing, and other teams to evaluate business opportunities and enhance revenue forecasting and reporting accuracy.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in revenue analysis and reporting processes, standardize financial models, and leverage tools like Salesforce and Tableau to enhance insights and forecasting accuracy.

Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.

Professional Experience:

  • 8+ years of progressive finance experience, including month-end processes, forecasting, reporting modeling, GL, and budget management.
  • Proven experience supporting finance professionals with a strong customer service orientation.

Analytical and Accounting Proficiency:

  • Experience in financial reporting, account reconciliation, working with large datasets, and P&L analysis.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles.

Presentation Competence:

  • Experience communicating analytical findings to diverse audiences, including senior leaders, and working effectively across all organizational levels.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced English level.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including complex functions.
  • Familiarity with financial systems and tools such as Oracle, OBIEE, Tableau, Salesforce, Hyperion Planning/Essbase, and SmartView.

Availability:

  • Availability to support US Pacific Time zone business hours.
