Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
  • 0-2 years experience (Preferred)
  • In lieu of education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Property & Casualty License (Preferred)
  • SIE Exam and Series 6 and 63 Licenses (Preferred)
  • Advanced product knowledge and insurance regulations knowledge
  • Excellent working knowledge of Allstate's systems required to perform the role
  • Ability to sell and service policies (based on requirements of the department)
  • Ability to diffuse customers and agents
  • Excellent working knowledge of billing concepts and Allstate's billing systems
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Intermediate problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adjust schedule according to business need
  • Hybrid role requiring presence in Boise Regional office twice a week

Responsibilities

  • Handles basic to complex telephone/email/chat/fax inquiries from internal and external customers efficiently, professionally, and accurately
  • Provides customers with product knowledge and resolves customer concerns
  • Utilizes functional expertise to support, develop, and lead new initiatives to maximize growth and profitability
  • Provides support for customers by handling inquiries via calls/emails/chats, including escalations
  • Resolves complex questions/concerns and refers other inquiries to appropriate areas as needed
  • Project Management: initiates, executes, communicates, and documents projects as needed
  • Acts as a liaison to other departments where follow-up is required to meet customer needs
  • Assists in identifying process improvement opportunities
  • Engages, inspires, educates, and mentors new hires and incumbents
  • Collaborates with other areas to identify, analyze, and improve processes
  • Inputs and tracks data into appropriate databases
  • Prepares materials to propose, sell, and establish new plans and sets up appropriate records (proposal illustrations, trust agreements, IRS determination reporting, employee communications, client administrative guide, census, and plan information)
  • Interprets plan provisions, product rules, and guidelines to process requests in accordance with Plan and Legal requirements
  • Provides extraordinary care through workflow management and meeting service level agreements
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to improve processes and member experience using lean methodology
  • Coordinates communication between contract holders, producers, and internal Nationwide departments
  • Reviews forms and files submitted by members or partners to ensure accurate entry into record keeping systems
