Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field, with an MBA being preferred. They must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis within the defense or R&D industry, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience preparing and submitting Forward Pricing Rates Proposals (FPRP) and Incurred Cost Submission (ICS) is required, along with proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial planning software such as IBM TM1 and Deltek Costpoint are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will manage the entire financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. They will develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic decision-making, analyze financial performance, and provide actionable insights to senior management. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, preparing and presenting financial reports, supporting business strategies, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations. Additionally, the manager will lead a team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and handling ad-hoc reporting, as well as leading the creation, submission, and auditing of the Forward Pricing Rates Proposal (FPRP) and the Incurred Cost Submission (ICS).
