Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with at least 2 years of Workday functional implementation experience and 2-5 years of experience in financial software and implementing functional solutions with ERP or SaaS software. Proficiency in business processes such as general ledger, budgeting, cash management, grant management, chart of accounts re-design, procure-to-pay, purchase order conversions, expense management, fixed asset management, and/or order-to-cash is required. Prior experience leading or managing teams is also necessary. Report writing experience and/or Workday Financials certification are highly desired. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates a commitment to detail, possesses a passion for exceptional customer service and collaboration, and has strong communication and presentation skills. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is expected, along with a willingness to cross-team collaboration. Minimal travel is required, but the candidate must be willing to travel on-site if needed.
The Workday Financials Principal Consultant will guide clients through Workday implementation transformation, implementation, and operation phases. They will become a Workday Financials expert, knowledgeable in design, configuration, testing, and implementation. Responsibilities include recommending solutions based on client requirements, budget, and timeframe, and adapting scope as needed. The consultant will lead clients through design sessions and configuration decisions, ensuring alignment with best practices and unique business requirements. They will support clients throughout all project phases, facilitating a smooth transfer from legacy systems to Workday. Additionally, the role involves performing multiple tasks with limited direction, keeping the client, project team, and Engagement Manager informed of project changes and progress. Active participation in update training and internal knowledge sharing is also expected.
