Position Overview

As our Finance Specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our Accounts Receivable, billing cycles, collections process, and bank reconciliations. You'll also help identify and implement improvements in our finance processes to support a rapidly scaling business.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable (AR) process, ensuring timely invoicing and accurate customer billing.
• Own billing operations including subscription-based billing cycles and usage-based pricing models.
• Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and lead proactive collection efforts.
• Perform timely and accurate bank and payment gateway reconciliations.
• Partner with Sales, Client Success, and Engineering teams to resolve billing inquiries and disputes.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
• Analyze trends in AR and collections and report on KPIs to Finance leadership.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements across the billing and AR functions.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.

Requirements

• Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting.
  • 3+ years of experience in billings/collections.
  • Experience in a Multi-Entity, Multi-Currency Environment.
  • Experience in Audit and Tax Engagements.
• Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Assets:
  • Familiarity with tools like QBO, Ariba, Plooto, Intacct, Netsuite.
