Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent
  • MBA, CPA, or CMA (a plus)
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and influencing skills (interfaces with various levels, including senior management)
  • 1-2 years of prior experience in cost accounting/operations environment and/or prior experience managing people (a plus)
  • Strong Excel skills and knowledge of SAP

Responsibilities

  • Development, management, coordination of site financial Plans/LBEs/Confirmations and monthly analytics and reporting for Lake County Site, including analysis of SCOP/Thruput, P&L, Balance Sheet, and manufacturing variances
  • Leading the annual standard setting process, including responsibility for timelines, definition and communication of requirements, partnering with site operations management, analysis and rationalization of overall plan profile, updating and maintaining financial system data, burden rate development, cost change analysis, and standard cost submissions
  • Partnering with the business and providing decision support for Lake County Site Senior Management concerning the achievement of business and financial objectives
  • Maintaining proper internal controls and compliance with Abbott policies and procedures; supporting both internal and external audit requests as well as SOX activities
  • Leading, managing, and developing a team of three senior cost analysts, one FPDP, and summer intern
