Customer.io is seeking a strategic Finance Manager to join their team, responsible for end-to-end financial planning and analysis to support company growth. This role involves partnering with Sales, Marketing, and senior leadership to shape forecasting, reporting, and strategic initiatives, translating data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will be adept at building financial models, communicating complex metrics, and mentoring junior FP&A talent.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle ARR forecasting, modeling pipeline, churn, and expansion across self-serve and sales-led channels in partnership with Sales and Marketing leadership.
  • Design and scale financial models, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and SaaS-metrics forecasts.
  • Lead annual and long-range planning, including scenario analytics and identification of growth levers.
  • Deliver executive and board reporting with clear narratives, actionable insights, and compelling visuals.
  • Champion cross-functional collaboration, advising on investment trade-offs and explaining financial impacts.
  • Ensure data integrity through QA, reconciliation, and process improvements for forecasting and reporting.
  • Mentor and develop FP&A talent, with potential to lead direct reports as the team grows.

Requirements

  • 6–8+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or consulting, with a progression into senior roles.
  • Deep B2B SaaS fluency, including expert knowledge of ARR, retention, CAC, LTV, and pipeline analytics.
  • Mastery of financial modeling in Excel/Google Sheets, with the ability to build scalable and evolving models.
  • Proven experience driving annual planning processes and delivering executive-level reports.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Nice-to-have

  • Hands-on experience with enterprise FP&A platforms (Drivetrain, Mosaic, Adaptive, Anaplan, etc.).
  • Familiarity with ERP, CRM, and HRIS systems.
  • Board-level exposure and comfort presenting to executive audiences.
