  • Undergraduate student completing an Engineering or Life Sciences-related degree between December 2026 and June 2027 (graduating students eligible only if returning to school for next degree level)
  • Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for 12 weeks starting June 3, 2026, and ending around August 20, 2026
  • Field-based, customer-facing position requiring flexibility to travel daily to customer sites in assigned region
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering
  • Satisfactory academic record and in good standing at college or university
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status (not eligible for F-1, J-1, H-1, OPT, or CPT Visas)
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with a powerful desire to learn and passion for delivering outstanding customer experience
  • Knowledge and experience with computer technology including Microsoft Suites (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Gain insights and knowledge by observing and learning from experienced Field Service Engineers (FSEs)
  • Take on a specific project linked to the Field Service Engineering business
  • Showcase project findings and share FSE Summer Intern experiences with Divisional Leadership Team
  • Engage in a one-day volunteer project within local community
  • Work side-by-side with Field Service Engineer mentors at customer sites
  • Complete an assigned project before the end of the Summer Intern Program
  • Represent the Company in a positive, professional manner in all interactions with Thermo Fisher Scientific employees, customers, and representatives
  • Ensure the highest level of customer happiness with Thermo Fisher Scientific products and services
