Requirements

  • Preferred Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation trade qualification with a minimum of 3 years industry experience OR degree qualified Engineer in Mechanical, Electrical or Controls with industry experience
  • Strong hands-on technical knowledge with rotating equipment and PLC systems

Responsibilities

  • Understand and comply with Solar Turbines’ and customer HSSE policies and procedures; participate in safety meetings, complete required safety training, and ensure compliance with the work permit system
  • Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded and all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with company policy, manufacturers’ recommendations, and industry best practices
  • Proactively recognize electrical/mechanical abnormalities and potential safety problems
  • Provide detailed, highly technical, and comprehensive reports to various stakeholders including management, engineering, and operations
  • Utilize sound judgment to analyze and solve problems with little or no supervision in a timely and cost-effective manner; identify sources of information and technical advice; possess sufficient product knowledge to repair and adjust minor mechanical/electrical components/systems; read applicable drawings and technical manuals
  • Work individually or with assigned Field Service Representatives on preventive/corrective maintenance; assist in a technical manner with customer operations and maintenance crews
  • Conduct or oversee maintenance services or installation support to ensure they are carried out in line with Solar Engineering specifications, manufacturing recommendations, and in a safe manner in accordance with HSSE policies and procedures
