Requirements

Preferred Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation trade qualification with a minimum of 3 years industry experience OR degree qualified Engineer in Mechanical, Electrical or Controls with industry experience
Strong hands-on technical knowledge with rotating equipment and PLC systems

Responsibilities

Understand and comply with Solar Turbines’ and customer HSSE policies and procedures; participate in safety meetings, complete required safety training, and ensure compliance with the work permit system
Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded and all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with company policy, manufacturers’ recommendations, and industry best practices
Proactively recognize electrical/mechanical abnormalities and potential safety problems
Provide detailed, highly technical, and comprehensive reports to various stakeholders including management, engineering, and operations
Utilize sound judgment to analyze and solve problems with little or no supervision in a timely and cost-effective manner; identify sources of information and technical advice; possess sufficient product knowledge to repair and adjust minor mechanical/electrical components/systems; read applicable drawings and technical manuals
Work individually or with assigned Field Service Representatives on preventive/corrective maintenance; assist in a technical manner with customer operations and maintenance crews
Conduct or oversee maintenance services or installation support to ensure they are carried out in line with Solar Engineering specifications, manufacturing recommendations, and in a safe manner in accordance with HSSE policies and procedures
