Requirements

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR participant in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program
2 years of service delivery experience in electronics, electrical, or biomedical engineering
Experience with Web applications as well as Microsoft suite of products
Comply with GEHC's standard background check, including a post-offer drug test
During employment, comply with all customer access policies, including obtaining/proving required immunizations, additional drug tests, or background checks (including federal government background check if applicable)
Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted; frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods; reach at, above, and below shoulder level; flex/extend neck; good hand and finger dexterity; specific vision abilities (color, close, distance, peripheral, depth perception)
Willingness to be available "after hours" or work a rotating On-Call schedule, including weekends, for critical issues
Based out of Regina, Saskatchewan or Winnipeg, Manitoba; service Hospital and Medical Clinic sites in Saskatchewan and Manitoba
Hold a valid full Canadian provincial driver’s license at the time of application
Eligible for international travel, including to the United States; required documentation includes a valid Canadian passport for cross-border business travel at the time of application

Responsibilities

Perform troubleshooting and repair on assigned equipment
Perform installation, validation, and maintenance on assigned equipment
Assist less experienced Field Engineers and provide coaching and feedback to team members
Complete on-time and accurate Preventative Maintenance and FMIs
Assist more experienced field engineers with equipment installation
Work with experienced field engineers on basic troubleshooting and service repair needs on designated equipment
Effectively communicate and partner with teammates and colleagues
Effectively communicate with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction
Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner, ordering repair parts, and managing cycle times
Utilize the GEHC escalation process, as needed, and work closely with region and national support to define and implement corrective action plans to resolve customer issues in a timely manner
Own customer issues from dispatch or identification of issue to resolution
Proactively engage with other team members to ensure they are aware of status of all issues at all times for their designated customers
