Requirements

Candidates must possess a professional background in Electronics or Engineering and have experience handling or servicing technical equipment. Knowledge of spectroscopy is advantageous. Fluency in German and good proficiency in English are required, along with a valid driver's license. The role demands comfort in customer-facing situations, a customer-centric approach, a high willingness to learn, strong interpersonal and administrative skills, and the ability to work independently. Extensive travel within Germany and occasional travel within the EMEA region is necessary.

Responsibilities

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for delivering service activities including installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance for scientific instruments, specifically OES, XRF, XRD, and automation instruments. They will provide on-site services to customers, resolve technical issues, manage company assets such as parts inventory and tools, and ensure timely reporting of activities. Collaboration with the Sales team for lead generation and customer updates is also part of the role.
