Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
  • At least 5-7 years of relevant, demonstrated experience, preferably in the water treatment industry
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of hydraulic theory and principles
  • Skills to work on various low voltage systems (24 VDC, 120 VAC, 220 VAC, 208/277 VAC, 480 VAC), qualified for both cold and hot systems
  • Ability to ring out panel wiring
  • Ability to calculate required chemical concentrations, chemical injection rates, dilution rates, etc
  • Understanding of unit technology theory of operations, including pros and cons of each technology
  • Ability to tune and identify proper tuning strategy for PID loops, including stager control
  • Understanding of process chemistry and its effects on quality and quantity generation
  • Troubleshooting skills for electrical, controls, mechanical, and process chemistry
  • Ability to connect to customer PLC’s and HMI’s and make minor changes
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Ability to travel

Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced technical expertise to solve complex engineering problems related to Startup and Commissioning activities
  • Analyze design documentation, optimize processes, and develop innovative solutions to enhance product performance and efficiency
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure engineering standards are met and projects are executed flawlessly
  • Understand Startup and Commissioning management tasks and coordinate communication between internal project teams and vendor support
  • Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors during construction and installation phases
  • Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards
  • Communicate with project team and stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns
  • Manage project apportionments and resources effectively to ensure timely completion
  • Prepare/Draft Startup and Commissioning Plan documentation
  • Coordinate with Applications/Process Engineers to facilitate the startup of water treatment systems
  • Work with Startup & Commissioning (S & C) Schedules
  • Develop and communicate a clear strategic vision, anticipate trends, and align team efforts with long-term objectives
  • Mentor junior colleagues, share knowledge, provide guidance, and support career development
  • Influence and inspire others through strong communication, credibility, and relationship-building with stakeholders
