Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience with a 4-year degree, or 8 years with an advanced degree, or equivalent experience
  • Fundamental understanding of Arrow’s solutions to match to customer business needs
  • Ability to drive/create new opportunities and product selection within accounts
  • Knowledge of distribution/rep/supplier dynamics to grow market share and sales
  • Current on product knowledge, technical certifications, and related technologies in customer base
  • Willingness to attend supplier training events and maintain supplier databases/design registration information
  • Participation in a sales compensation plan with variable OTE tied to sales goals
  • Based in Illinois or Indiana territory (fully remote, but able to travel to Arrow office as requested)

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain influential relationships with customers, suppliers, and Arrow partners to create demand for Arrow products by offering engineering and supply chain solutions
  • Focus on demand creation and relationship management for technical needs of complex, emerging, or underpenetrated prospects
  • Drive supplier and customer engineering relationships at multiple levels
  • Initiate and schedule regular visits to customer facilities to sell Arrow's franchised lines and services
  • Create selling opportunities through a planned discovery process and translate customer needs to Arrow requirements
  • Execute solution selling using knowledge of Arrow’s supply chain solutions and design processes
  • Grow profit and maximize margins by selling value-added, long-term solutions with emphasis on demand creation and engineering
  • Stay current on product knowledge, attend supplier training, and keep updated on customer technologies
