Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Field Sales Executives, ensuring they hit sales targets
  • Provide direct support in-the-field signing best local restaurants through compelling proposals and complex negotiations
  • Support Regional Managers to translate local knowledge to team priorities and deliver Regional strategies
  • Role model best-in-class behaviours in Salesforce and support roll-out of training programmes, providing 2-way feedback
  • Map, prospect, pitch, and close highest potential restaurants across the region in an organised fashion
  • Work with commercial teams to structure complex deals and negotiate effectively with restaurants
  • Own overall pipeline management in the region with regular reviews
  • Understand and communicate Deliveroo’s value proposition to restaurants via physical visits, emails, calls, and social media
  • Keep senior internal stakeholders informed of sales progress
  • Spend significant time in-field leading teams, providing structure, clarity on priorities, and setting clear, stretching goals
  • Hire top-tier talent, manage onboarding, role-model best practices, and embed tools, processes, and rules of engagement
  • Strictly manage underperformance via PiPs working with HR
  • Gain in-field insights into challenges and opportunities and work with Head of Sales to roll out improvements (e.g., Salesforce efficiencies)
  • Work closely with Regional Managers/Commercial Managers to align on priorities (e.g., CVP gaps) and support Business Development Managers with key deals/negotiations involving cross-functional support (e.g., Marketing)
  • Optimise team market work including efficient routing, track competitor moves, and surface market insights for broader sales strategy
  • Act as first point of escalation for the team, resolving local issues quickly and keeping the region aligned with wider priorities
  • Sample food from high-quality establishments, attend restaurant and food meet-ups, and enjoy the restaurant scene with interest in new cuisines
  • Achieve key goal of number of priority restaurants signed each month, plus onboarding excellence, upsells, maximising commercial opportunity, selling marketing packages at launch, and menu completeness at go-live
  • Spend time giving feedback and training to junior team members on sales performance
