Travel: 60% overnight travel required

Position Overview

Our Field Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the operational, scheduling, and profitability functions across an average of 25 stores within one to multiple districts. Reporting directly to the Regional Operations Director, this role is responsible for managing and optimizing inventory integrity through the operational excellence of back and front-of-house operations. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and progressive leader with proven expertise in inventory management, store operations, and strategic leadership, maintaining a customer-centric approach while driving sales and profit objectives.

Responsibilities

Scheduling and Payroll Management (30%)

  • Manage district(s) payroll to company expectations by reviewing dashboards and directing activities consistent with organizational goals.
  • Strengthen scheduling accuracy and effectiveness, especially during peak times and weekends, to drive profitability, sales, and teammate/athlete satisfaction.
  • Ensure district(s) manage payroll effectively, tracking approved payroll overspend and maintaining overtime within acceptable thresholds.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for all scheduling and payroll management elements, accountable for district(s) payroll results and their impact on the region's P&L.

Core Operational Processes Implementation and Support (30%)

  • Communicate and train on the importance of operational excellence in front-of-house and back-of-house operations to CSC, field, and district leaders (Store Operations, HR, Loss Prevention, Inventory Control, Facilities).
  • Lead the daily operations strategy by developing and implementing processes that drive revenue growth, maximize profitability, and ensure an exceptional athlete experience.
  • Coach store and field teams (Store Manager, District Manager, Operational Managers) on core operational processes to streamline sales preparation activities, including hiring, staffing, freight processing, stockroom organization, and inventory management.
  • Develop action plans and strategies by analyzing back-of-house operational data to address trends in merchandise receiving, claims compliance, damage/defective management, transfer execution, and mark-out-of-stock.

Inventory Integrity and Movement (20%)

  • Elevate inventory integrity to drive sales and profitability across the district(s) through the execution of core operational and shrink reduction programs.
  • Develop store/district-specific plans to impact identified inventory trends.
  • Ensure efficient and accurate inventory flow through stores and to Distribution Centers and Value Chain locations via operational excellence.
