Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on consulting, architecture, or leadership roles
Proven experience working with enterprise clients, understanding their security challenges, and developing tailored solutions
Deep understanding of security frameworks and standards, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2
Strong technical skills in areas such as network security, cloud security, endpoint security, and incident response
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and executive audiences
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions
Location within the northeast US (ME to MD), fully remote

Responsibilities

Serve as a trusted security advisor to clients, understanding their business objectives, risk tolerance, and cybersecurity posture, and translating those needs into actionable security solutions
Lead security assessments and workshops, developing presentations and proposals that effectively communicate complex technical concepts to technical and executive audiences
Develop and deliver compelling value propositions that highlight the benefits of Optiv's security solutions
Collaborate with field sales teams to identify and qualify opportunities in Optiv client base, contributing to sales pursuits and the successful design of security solutions and services engagements
Build, leverage, and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, including CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, and broader security teams
Attend industry security events, build relationships, and lead local chapters where possible
Contribute to the development of thought leadership content, including blog posts, white papers, threat updates, solution architectures, and conference presentations
Maintain knowledge of the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, compliance requirements, frameworks, industry best practices, and the changing IT landscape
Provide regular knowledge sharing and insights with clients and internal teams
Provide feedback to Services and Solution development teams on market trends and client needs to influence Optiv’s offerings
Represent Optiv at industry events and conferences to build brand awareness and network with potential clients
