Requirements

Ability to perform minor maintenance tasks and general upkeep of the Distribution Center
Capability to support Maintenance Technicians in mechanical preventative and corrective maintenance, including servicing and repair of hand tools and minor floor machines
Act as a Qualified Electrical Assistant for electrical safety processes
Skills to support installation/removal of equipment
Ability to evaluate and inspect facility interior/exterior for upkeep or repair needs
Competence in changing PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) batteries, performing preventative/corrective maintenance on batteries, cleaning/painting battery equipment, and maintaining records
Experience with maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of Label Tec Printers
Proficiency in operating hand and power tools (drills, saws, sanders, grinders, pneumatic tools, welders)
Skilled in carpentry, welding, and fabrication for constructing/repairing assets (furniture, shelving, racks, workbenches)
Ability to complete plumbing tasks (install/repair faucets, landscape sprinklers, clean drains/sumps)
Skills in painting, drywall repairs, concrete patching/minor replacement
Capability to assist in preventive maintenance programs (pest control, HVAC, record updates)
Ability to remove cardboard bales, trash using dumpsters, and maintain grounds
Experience operating snow removal equipment
Valid driver's license or ability to drive Target-owned vehicles for yard cleanup, incident response, vendor escort, parts pickup
Safe operation of power equipment, safe lifting techniques, and spill cleanup

Responsibilities

Support Maintenance Technicians in mechanical preventative and corrective maintenance, such as servicing and repair of hand tools and minor floor machines
Act as Qualified Electrical Assistant for electrical safety processes
Support maintenance personnel in installation/removal of assorted equipment
Evaluate and inspect facility interior/exterior to determine upkeep or repair requirements
Change PIT batteries, perform preventative/corrective maintenance on batteries, clean/paint battery equipment, maintain battery-changing records, and submit at shift end
Complete maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of Label Tec Printers
Operate hand and power tools (drills, saws, sanders, grinders, pneumatic tools, welders)
Construct or repair facility assets (assemble furniture, build shelving/racks, repair workbenches) using carpentry, welding, fabrication
Perform plumbing tasks (install/repair faucets, landscape sprinklers; clean drains/sumps)
Perform painting, drywall repairs, concrete patching, minor concrete replacement
Assist in preventive maintenance programs (pest control, HVAC) and update records
Remove cardboard bales from bailers, remove trash using dumpsters, keep grounds neat/orderly
Operate snow removal equipment for walks, roads, parking lots
Drive Target vehicles for yard cleanup, incident response, vendor escort, parts/material pickup
Operate all power equipment safely, use safe lifting techniques, assist in spill cleanup
