Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience
  • Management Skills: Management of Financial and Material Resources, Critical Thinking, Project Management, Management of Personnel Resources, Collaboration and Productivity Software
  • Functional Skills: Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS), Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Software programs (CMMS), Knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing systems, Working knowledge of maintenance operations, administrative services, contract management, security, janitorial, and grounds maintenance, Effective Communication Skills
  • Nice to Have: Experience in regulated manufacturing environment, and ideally medical device industry; Strong problem-solving, risk assessment, and negotiation skills; Experience with complex, cross-functional projects; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Experience applying situational leadership concepts across various intra and inter-departmental matters

Responsibilities

  • Oversee janitorial services, pest control, cafeteria operations, handyman repairs and maintenance, landscaping, building supplies and refueling
  • Manage facility-related non-conformances and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions)
  • Conduct regular inspections and Gemba walks to identify and resolve issues, ensuring regulatory compliance in all facility operations (including GMP, FDA, and ISO requirements)
  • Lead investigations into non-conformances, drive root cause analysis, and partner with Quality and EHS teams to implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Manage the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities
  • Plan, budget, and schedule facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs
  • Design and develop organizational policies relevant to the facilities department
  • Oversee the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion
  • May have responsibility for establishing and overseeing health and safety standards
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
