Job Description

Position Overview

This is a part-time, as-needed role providing project management and web content development/publishing support for Digital Strategy. The role involves managing change requests, coordinating with internal staff and external contractors, and ensuring timely and accurate web content publication. A key responsibility includes being on call during Emergency Operations Center (EOC) activations.

Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Intake and evaluation for change requests.
  • Scheduling and assigning requests to Digital Strategy staff (copywriting, UX, web authoring).
  • Tracking progress and keeping requestors updated.
  • Working with contractors and managing chargebacks.
  • Providing other Web Operations project management assistance for Digital Strategy as requested.

Web Content Development and Publishing

  • Available as needed to author and test web content.
  • Assure content developed meets accessibility standards.
  • Create required metadata for content developed.
  • Publish web content to controlled websites using the Content Management System (CMS) and established processes.
  • For part-time "as needed" staff, provide necessary resources with one day's notice to content author and publish web content.
  • Provide status reporting as requested to Digital Strategy.

EOC Duty

  • Be on call during EOC activation for up to two-week shifts.
  • While on call, be available within one hour to author and publish content using either regular or emergency CMS publishing processes.
  • Coordinate with the on-shift EOC Communications lead on what information to publish, when, in what forms, and on which platforms.
