Job Description Summary

This role involves collaborating with Finance teams across all North American businesses to support department-specific analyses and region-wide projects aimed at enhancing planning and reporting capabilities. As a key partner in a growing team, you will gain valuable experience and access to further growth opportunities. You will report directly to the FP&A Supervisor and work closely with the Housing Operating Unit of Experian. This is an individual contributor position.

Main Responsibilities

• Financial Performance Narrative: Act as an expert in financial performance narratives, synthesizing complex data into concise, high-level commentary for executive-level audiences (both written and verbal).
• Budgeting Cycle Support: Partner with Housing teams (both Finance and non-Finance) to build and deliver financial information through Business Unit Reviews (BUR), Quarterly Performance Reviews (QPR), and other budgeting cycle instances.
• Financial Performance Management: Manage views and conduct analyses on Housing's financial performance, encompassing both P&L and Balance Sheet perspectives.
• Ad-hoc Analysis: Perform ad-hoc analyses related to P&L and governance for activities such as Closing, Month-end Close (MMC), Budgeting, and Strategic Planning.
• Productivity Improvement: Enhance productivity by implementing solutions for daily finance tasks that involve data aggregation, mapping, and manipulation.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive finance experience, including month-end processes, forecasting, reporting modeling, fixed assets, general ledger (GL) management, and budget management.
• Customer Focus: Experience supporting finance professionals with a strong emphasis on customer service and responsiveness.
• Analytical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and P&L analysis. Proven ability to communicate analytical findings effectively to diverse audiences, including senior leadership, and work with all organizational levels.
• Technical Competence:
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with financial systems and tools such as Oracle, OBIEE, Tableau, Hyperion Planning/Essbase, and SmartView.
