Requirements

Ability to assist in planning events, including cost planning, ROI analysis, staffing, communication, execution, and compliance with waivers
Expertise on event space capabilities, configurations, capacities, and setups
Capability to work with Community & Events Manager on budgets, efficiencies, and cost savings
Skills in creating event documentation (Run of Show, Event Recaps, Emergency Information card, Rental Agreements)
Ability to oversee event experience, ensure safety and fun for athletes
Proficiency in leading and monitoring reservations scheduling tool
Experience managing field events (hiring referees, equipment/field/ice maintenance if applicable)
Ability to coordinate event entertainment (music, guest speakers)
Skills in maintaining cleanliness, maintenance, and equipment for events
Ability to build relationships with local schools, organizations, leagues, vendors
Capability to work with Community Team on clinics, camps, afterschool programming
Skills in creating sales opportunities during events and liaisons
Ability to attend events, monitor, gather feedback for athlete satisfaction
Capacity to provide high-touch, innovative seasonal programming
Skills in maintaining field equipment and programmable spaces for cleanliness and use
Ability to safely remove snow from ice surfaces (if applicable)
Flexibility to offer sales and operations support to store management
Ability to adjust priorities and manage time in fast-paced environment
Adherence to safety, loss prevention, SOPs, laws, and external guidelines
Understanding of ice rink policies and procedures (if applicable)
Ability to ensure operation of ice venue events, skating, promotions (if applicable)
Skills in sharpening skates (if applicable)
Capability to staff events, communicate with teammates, set expectations
Experience in training teammates on procedures, programs, new hire onboarding, cross-training
Ability to mentor new hires, share knowledge, provide feedback

Responsibilities

Assist in planning all DSG-led events with Community Leadership team (cost planning, ROI, staffing, communication, execution, waivers)
Provide info on event space configs/capacities and recommend setups
Ensure events within budget, identify efficiencies/cost savings
Create event documentation (Run of Show, Recaps, Emergency cards, Agreements)
Oversee event experience and athlete safety/participation
Lead/monitor reservations scheduling tool
Manage field events (hire refs, maintain equipment/field/ice if applicable)
Coordinate entertainment (music, speakers)
Maintain cleanliness/equipment for events
Build relationships with schools, orgs, leagues, vendors for partnerships
Work with team on clinics, camps, afterschool programming
Create sales opportunities at events/liaisons
Attend/monitor events, gather feedback
Provide innovative seasonal programming
Maintain equipment/spaces for cleanliness/use; snow removal (if applicable)
Support store sales/operations as needed
Adhere to policies/procedures on safety, loss prevention, SOPs, laws
