Requirements

Candidates should have proven experience with Datadog (APM, Infrastructure Monitoring, Logs, Dashboards, Alerts, Synthetics), knowledge of cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and experience with CI/CD, microservices, and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes). A strong understanding of SRE principles, SLIs/SLOs, and error budgets is required, along with experience in software development (Angular, Java), strong analytical skills to connect technical metrics to business outcomes, and good communication for interaction with technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

The Observability Engineering Specialist will be responsible for instrumenting applications and services using Datadog, developing dashboards, KPIs, SLIs, and SLOs with both technical and business value, and creating proactive alerts and triggers to anticipate incidents and reduce downtime. They will collaborate with development squads to incorporate observability into CI/CD pipelines, translate technical metrics into indicators relevant to customer experience and business impact, support incident management processes with in-depth analysis based on observability data, and promote best practices and a culture of observability throughout the organization.
