Requirements

  • Must be in student status working towards a degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, Geology, Engineering, or related environmental field from an accredited college or university
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 required (3.0 or higher preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Assist department personnel in providing technical support and ownership of environmental programs including NPDES, SPCC, greenhouse gas emissions, waste disposal, remediation, recycling and environmental training and communication
  • Assist department personnel in performing inspections related to environmental compliance
  • Assist in the environmental permitting process
  • Assist writing environmental reports and analyses
  • Learn applicable environmental regulations and requirements
  • Other developmental projects as assigned
