Requirements

3-5 years experience in permitting
Experience working in public works, utilities, or government agencies (preferred)
Prior experience in project management
Highly organized with the ability to manage and balance many complex projects at once
Ability to overcome objections and problem-solve quickly
Comfortable with ambiguity and pivoting between projects & responsibilities
Located in Central Time Zone

Responsibilities

Communicate requirements to third parties, including government agencies, homeowner associations, and operations teams
Assist with version control and ensure permit packages meet customer specifications
Serve as main point of contact for permit inquiries, feedback, and revisions to internal and external stakeholders
Leverage data & reporting to track, improve, and provide transparency into performance
Manage and balance multiple complex projects at once
Overcome objections and problem-solve to ensure prompt issuance of permits
Improve relationships with challenging AHJs to improve processes and reduce cycle time
Maintain accurate forecasting
Become an expert in all jurisdictions and reduce need to utilize third-party vendors for permitting services
