Requirements

Candidates should have experience as a Sales Engineer or Pre-Sales Engineer, with at least 3 years of experience selling into Enterprise and Mid Market prospects. They should possess experience with MEDDPICC and/or Command of the Message sales frameworks, along with experience in container technologies (Kubernetes, Serverless, Docker), cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.), and cloud security or container security. Furthermore, candidates should have experience with startup environments and be able to act as trusted advisors, building credibility with customers. A security clearance is also required.

Responsibilities

The Enterprise Sales Engineer will assess a prospect’s technical requirements and illustrate how Chainguard products satisfy their needs, cultivating relationships with decision-makers and negotiating stakeholder needs. They will secure technical wins through demos, RFP/RFI responses, and partner with engineering for requested features, while also participating in conferences and industry events. The role involves partnering with the Sales Team to help customers evaluate and prove the value of the solution, focusing on acquiring new customers and assisting existing customers understand the value of Chainguard, including conducting product demonstrations and POVs/POCs, and actively participating in webinars and meetups.
