Requirements

  • Experience managing one or more small-scale, developed, or mature programs with well-defined plans and delivery methodologies
  • Accountability for overall program process, performance, and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to provide input to establishing program objectives, timelines, milestones, and budgets
  • Capability to recommend new policies and procedures affecting program management
  • Potential budget accountability for one or more programs
  • Skills in detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation for difficult problems impacting multiple workstreams, departments, or specialties
  • Ability to modify program management processes to improve programs
  • Proficiency in communicating and leading meetings with internal/external customers and vendors, and conducting briefings to higher-level management

Responsibilities

  • Plans, directs, and implements all aspects of the company's design and development of new medical device products or software systems
  • Develops, evaluates, implements, and maintains technical quality assurance and control systems or reliability systems and standards pertaining to materials, techniques, or company products
  • Oversees the investigation and evaluation of existing technologies
  • Guides the conceptualization of new methodologies, materials, machines, processes, or products
  • Directs the development of new concepts from initial design to market release
  • Manages feasibility studies of the design to determine if capable of functioning as intended
  • Monitors documentation maintenance throughout all phases of research and development
  • Organizes the coordination of activities with outside suppliers and consultants to ensure timely delivery
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
  • Oversees area of responsibility, manages program/team performance, communicates project and operational developments
  • Plans, prioritizes, and/or directs the responsibilities of program team members to achieve goals through matrixed teams and/or vendors
