Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative role
- Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent
- Good level of English both written and spoken
- Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook proficiently
- Have a full clean driving licence and own car
- Must be able to reliably commute to place of work and/or other sites if required
- Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure
- Able to demonstrate initiative, decision making and self-motivation
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the purchasing, receiving, storing, and issuing of parts and materials
- Support Engineering Coordinator and learn according to an agreed training plan every aspect of the engineering administration
- Conduct COSHH risk assessments on any new substances and update existing COSHH risk assessments when a new SDS is issued
- Assist with training out of new/reviewed department Risk Assessments and SSOW
- Ordering of stock and monitoring deliveries and receipt for Bedford (this will extend to other sites when the Coordinator is absent), including site consumables such as stationery and canteen supplies
- Putting delivered stock away whilst ensuring items are added to the stock sheets
- Arranging contractors/service visits to site as needed
- Ensure contractors provide RAMS and liaise with engineers to permit when on site
- Stock updates – update stores sheet weekly to reflect what has been received or booked out
